Allow me to rant about other people's stupidity.
There is a fad that is spreading quickly and I have been seeing more and more often on dA lately.
Some people have taken the
"❑ Single [return] ❑ Taken [return] ✔ Mentally dating a fictional character"-type signatures to a whole new level. Yes, they are
serious.
Many probably saw it coming but decided to keep it for themselves.
Mangasexuality. Attraction exclusively to manga and anime characters. It even has a symbol.

Where to start?
Mangasexuality is nothing but a made-up sexuality, as fictional manga/anime characters do not occur in the real and natural world we live in. Comparing it to an actual sexuality– heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, pansexuality, etc– is like dividing by zero.
It's more like a paraphilia. Mangaphilia? Animephilia?... No clue. Also, a paraphilia
≠ a sexuality.
On another note, anime/manga characters can't "love" you back, despite what you may keep saying to feel better about yourself. They are
fictional characters who live in a
fictional world and a
fictional context. No contact with the real world.
You– a
real person– don't have any impact over the
fictional character you're in love with. You can however have an impact on a
real person. I'd suggest to focus on the latter, it makes you look a little less delusional to others.
What if you and your friend Kassie love the same character? Could it be considered polygamy? Or, what if your fictional boyfriend/girlfriend gets a fictional girlfriend/boyfriend? Is it cheating? Explain that to me, I'd really like to know!
TL;DR: Look back at the stamp.
inb4 "BUT I CANT FIND ANY REAL BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND FOR MYSELF BAAAWWW" Then go look for one, instead of sitting on your big fat lazy ass and being a crying bitch who faps to anime all day. It may
not be easy, it takes effort, but it's really worth it. Get to work!

NEWSFLASH: Mangasexuality does not exist.

It'd be awesome, but you can deny my request too.
I just think it's stupid though. "I'm in love with an non-existing character ahaha!"
Oh fangirls/-boys...
I mean, when I was younger I used to believe otherwise. But I've outgrown that.
And it's even more stupid to believe that someone can be exclusively attracted to fictional characters and that it's a legitimate sexuality. What on earth makes a person think, if they're never attracted to real people, that they can be attracted to fictional characters when the latter are based off the former.
If they did, then I might worry about them, but not all people who put it in their signature are serious about it. Most just do it to show what they like.
Besides, the fictional world is so much more lovable than the real world.
